Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Production Kitchen Assistant in Albany, GA!A Day in the Life of a Production Kitchen Assistant As a Production Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the creation of delicious pecan-based baked goods and confections. Your day includes preparing ingredients, mixing batters and fillings, baking products, and helping produce specialty treats such as pecan pies, pralines, brittles, and other sweets. You’ll work with commercial kitchen equipment and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment, ensuring high-quality products for customers. Responsibilities and Duties:
Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and directions
Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and correctly (mixers, ovens, etc.)
Assist in baking, cooling, and finishing products to quality standards
Follow recipes and portioning guidelines accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Assist in restocking supplies and ingredients as needed
Follow food safety and sanitation practices
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warm conditions
Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Attention to detail and reliability
Schedule and Compensation: Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (EST) Schedule may change as the season ramps up.
Assignment Type: Seasonal – position runs through January 1st, 2026. Possible full-time opportunities for top-performing employees.
