Southern Point Staffing is seeking a skilled carpenter • Must submit to a criminal background screening Compensation: • $16.00 hourly • Monday- Friday 7:30-4:00 Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Carpenter in the Albany Area!
A Day in the Life of a Carpenter: As a carpenter you will have different job sites/projects you work on so traveling is required. You will be working with a small construction team and on occasion speaking with clients. You will mostly be doing finished carpentry as well as renovations. Most of the projects are high dollar jobs and require a high level of know how, professionlism and a willingness to grow in this company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Framing, roffing, sanding, cutting, shaping etc.
Ability to work in small space as well as high areas such as scffolding and ladders
Ability to repeatedly lift 50-80lbs
Continuously wearing safety gear/PPE
Employee will do mostly finsihed carpentry but it could expand into other types.
On-time and ability to work with a team
High-level Professionalism as the Clients could be on site for the high dollar projects
willingness to grow and take feedback
ability to communicate feedback and document progress and needs!
Qualifications and Experience:
(5 years) Previous Contruction experience is required
Ability to skillfully use multiple carpentry tools- both hand and power including read tape measure to 1/16”
Understanding and experience in but not limited to framing, windows, doors, flooring, roofing
Custom carpentry experience including blueprint reading
Understanding of safety compliance and ability to take feedback to improve!
Schedule and Compensation:
$15- $20 Pay is based on experience and the person. Pay increase once hired on with the company!
Schedule: Typically Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (EST)
