Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Millwork Driver and Installer in Albany, GA!A Day in the Life of a Millwork Driver and Installer
As a Millwork Driver and Installer, you’ll work with a team specializing in manufacturing and installing custom shutters, cabinetry, and countertops. Your day will include reading precise measurements, operating sealing machinery, cutting and assembling custom pieces, installing millwork on customer sites, and safely delivering materials. This role demands skill with tools, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Operate sealing machines and equipment for finishing custom products
Read and interpret shop drawings and measurements to 1/16th of an inch
Install cabinetry, countertops, and other millwork in residential and commercial projects
Safely load, unload, and transport materials and finished products to job sites
Use hand and power tools for cutting, drilling, assembly, and installation
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience required in carpentry, cabinetry, or countertop installation
Ability to read a tape measure precisely to 1/16th of an inch and follow detailed measurements
Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
Valid Georgia driver’s license required
Clean 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and dedication to high-quality work
Ability to drive a standard sized truck with 20 ft cargo trailer for transporting cabinets and shutters.
Ability to back the trailer into job sites and into the warehouse for loading and unloading of product.
Schedule and Compensation: Pay Range: $13.00 – $19.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (30-minute lunch break)
Fridays as needed
