Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Disaster Relief Site Supervisor in Valdosta, GA!A Day in the Life of a Disaster Relief Site Supervisor Are you passionate about making a difference in communities impacted by disasters? As a Disaster Relief Site Supervisor, you will lead volunteer teams in home repair and construction projects, providing essential recovery assistance to disaster survivors. This role involves training unskilled volunteers, ensuring safety protocols, and overseeing construction projects. You’ll work closely with Construction Managers and other team members to maintain high-quality work standards while delivering a meaningful volunteer experience. Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead and supervise volunteer teams in residential construction, muck/gut projects, and mold sanitation.
Provide daily safety orientation and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Teach unskilled volunteers essential construction skills, including:
Framing
Drywall installation, mudding, taping, and sanding
Flooring, baseboard, and trim installation
Kitchen/bathroom cabinet, countertop, sink, and toilet installations
Occasional roofing projects
Ensure all work meets scope and quality standards.
Maintain and track volunteer hours, finances, and worksite progress in the Disaster Relief Resource Hub.
Communicate material and tool needs to the Construction Manager.
Maintain emergency contact information and safety resources for volunteer teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
OSHA 10-hour training certification, First Aid, and CPR training required.
Minimum of one year overseeing residential construction in the U.S. preferred.
Experience leading volunteers in a post-disaster environment is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate volunteers of diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and pass a comprehensive background check.
Travel: 80% local travel required, with some virtual work.
Annual Salary:$65,000.
