Now Hiring Forklift Operators | Boom Lift + Chainsaw Experience Preferred | Local Lumber Company - Albany, GA
Southern Point Staffing is now hiring Forklift Operators for a well-established lumber company in Albany, GA. This is a great opportunity for someone with forklift experience who enjoys hands-on work in an outdoor environment. You will be operating a large forklift/boom lift and using a chainsaw as part of your daily tasks.
Position Overview:
Full-time, long-term opportunity
Outdoor work in a lumber yard/warehouse
$19 per hour
Immediate openings available
Responsibilities:
Operate a large forklift/boom lift to transport and stage lumber and materials
Safely operate a chainsaw throughout your shift to cut lumber to required sizes
Load and unload materials as directed
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures at all times
Maintain equipment and tools in safe working condition
Work effectively as part of a team in an outdoor setting
Qualifications:
Prior forklift experience required (experience with large boom lift strongly preferred)
Chainsaw experience preferred and must be comfortable using a chainsaw throughout the shift
Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift/move materials as needed
Must have steel-toed boots
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be dependable and have a positive, team-oriented attitude
Must provide verifiable work history and professional references
Schedule and Compensation:
Pay: $19.00/hr
Pay Frequency: Weekly.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, and Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
