Job Description
Inventory Specialist
We are seeking a full time Inventory Specialist for our parts business. This person will be responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, and shipping parts and supplies to and from our Albany, GA warehouse. The main duties include:
· Shipping and Receiving
· Reconcile material received against packing slip
· Inspect all material for damage upon receipt
· Organize received material
· Notify requestor of any delays or changes in shipping
· Track and analyze inventory
· Pack and crate material to be shipped
· Arranging shipping pick-ups from our freight carriers
· Load freight carriers via forklift and/or pallet jacks
· Control the flow of supplies and equipment
· Manage inventory levels and place restock orders in time to minimize stock-outs
· Assist the General Manager in implementing protocols for loss mitigation
· Maintain overall organization of the warehouse
· Use computer software to manage and update inventory records
A successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
· Prior inventory management experience
· Prior shipment and receiving experience
· Good organizational skills
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to lift 30lbs
· Experience with inventory management software
· Ability to operate forklift and pallet jacks
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm
- On call
