Job Description
The Shelling Plant Worker is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used in the shelling and processing of agricultural products (such as peanuts, pecans, or other nuts). This role ensures product quality, safety compliance, and efficient production within a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities:
Operate shelling machinery and processing equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor production lines to ensure proper shelling, sorting, and grading of products
Inspect raw and finished products for quality, removing defective or contaminated items
Load raw materials into machines and manage product flow throughout the process
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
Accurately complete production logs and documentation
Assist with packaging, labeling, and storage of finished products as needed
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or warehouse environment is a plus
Ability to operate industrial machinery (training may be provided)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Comfortable working in environments with dust, noise, and varying temperatures
Ability to bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks
Work Environment:
Industrial plant setting with exposure to dust, allergens (nuts), and loud machinery
May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, ear protection, and masks
Shift work may include nights, weekends, and overtime

Available and willing to work between the hours of 7am – 6pm, all days of the week. Up until July 31st, 2026
They typically don’t work 7-days a week, but availability must not be limited to certain days.
Week of Thanksgiving is not an exception to the required availability. The must be able and willing to work every day that week, including Thanksgiving Day.
There is a possibility that they will not work Thanksgiving, but not a guarantee.
The season will run through the week leading up to Christmas
