Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Quality Testing Technician in Albany, GA!
A Day in the Life of a Quality Testing Technician: As a Quality Testing Technician, you will perform quality checks and measurements on finished paper products in a clean, nonhazardous, dry lab environment. Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct precise testing and calibration of lab equipment.
Document and analyze results against industry standards.
Ensure accuracy in data entry and report defects.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or GED (or relevant experience/training).
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, and ruler measurements).
Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel) and ability to learn custom data entry systems.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
Schedule and Compensation:
Pay Rate: $14/hr
Schedule: AWS schedule – 12-hour shifts, alternating between 3-4 shifts per week, including every other weekend.
Shifts: Day/Night rotations available; some positions offer straight night shifts.
Work Environment: Standing for extended periods and a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot to the work area.
Safety Gear: Steel-toed work shoes required.
Holiday Work: Must be available to work most holidays if scheduled.
